Parkdly has entered into a cooperation agreement with Espoo Flyers ry to provide premium-level course signage for Espoo’s upcoming disc golf center — one of the most significant disc golf projects currently underway in Finland.
From the moment plans for a large-scale disc golf center in Espoo were announced, the project has sparked excitement across the Finnish and European disc golf community. Now, Parkdly is proud to be involved as a technology and signage partner.
“Since we first heard about the plans to build a massive disc golf center in Espoo, we’ve followed the project with great excitement — also as disc golf enthusiasts ourselves. It’s fantastic to now be part of this project as a cooperation partner. Our goal is to help ensure that the Espoo disc golf center features top-tier signage, both for its permanent course and for competitive events,” says Lauri Alasaukko-oja, representing Parkdly.
According to Mikko Tanska, course designer for Espoo DiscGolfPark World, Parkdly brings clear efficiency gains to the design and development process.
“Previously, creating detailed course maps and signage with separate professional design tools required a significant amount of time. With Parkdly, I can focus much more directly on developing and building the course itself, which has a major impact on my overall efficiency,” Tanska explains.
One of the key advantages lies in Parkdly’s use of accurate geospatial data, which opens new possibilities beyond static signage.
“What excites me most is how Parkdly utilizes real-world location data. In the future, integrating this data with other services could unlock entirely new opportunities for course designers, maintenance teams, and players alike,” Tanska adds.
In addition to signage, Parkdly’s real-time digital caddiebook plays an important role in player communication.
“The live caddiebook can be shared with players via a simple link and used to communicate up-to-date information, such as course maintenance or temporary changes. This makes communication far more efficient and significantly improves the player experience,” Tanska says.
The cooperation covers course signage solutions for both everyday play and tournament use. Parkdly’s tools enable accurate, clear, and visually consistent tee signs and course maps that support players, event organizers, and spectators alike.
This partnership reflects Parkdly’s broader mission: to help courses and events deliver a better on-course experience through modern, map-based design and signage solutions.
More details about the Espoo DiscGolfPark World and its opening schedule will be shared as the project progresses.
