We've spent 1,5 years making Parkdly the easiest way to design a great-looking disc golf course map. Today those maps stop living only inside Parkdly.
We've opened the Parkdly API, and the first app to build on it is Upsi. Design your course in Parkdly as you always have — then, from inside Upsi, connect your Parkdly account and bring that map straight in. It shows up for players in the Upsi app: no redrawing it somewhere else, no second source of truth to keep in sync.
Here's the honest reason we built this. A course map gets designed once but used in a dozen places — the tee sign, the caddie book, whatever app a player opens when they show up — and until now, "used everywhere" meant "rebuilt everywhere," by hand. (Course owners know the version of this where one moved target means updating four different apps.) An API is how you fix that properly: design the course once in Parkdly, and let the apps players already use pull it in from there.
For a course manager that means:
- Design once. Drop tees, targets, OBs and mandos in Parkdly. Connect from inside Upsi, and your map shows up for players — same layout, same distances.
- Update once. Move a target in Parkdly, and the connected map updates.
- Still get everything else. The same design exports to print-ready signage and caddie books from Parkdly directly.
Upsi being first matters to us. The API is still early and their team has been a genuine partner in getting it right. It won't be the only app on it. If you're building a disc golf product and want courses designed in Parkdly to pull straight into yours, our API docs are here and we'd like to talk.
"This is the first app built on the Parkdly API, and it won't be the last. Course managers already design their maps in Parkdly — opening the API means that work can move straight into the tools players already use, without anyone redrawing anything. We want Parkdly to be the map engine the whole disc golf ecosystem can build on, and Upsi proving it out first means a lot to us." — Lauri Alasaukko-oja, Co-founder, Parkdly
"Parkdly has built genuinely brilliant tools — there's no easier way to design a great-looking disc golf course map — and working with their team has been fantastic from day one. Bringing that quality straight into Upsi means a manager designs their map once and it's live for players. Less busywork for the people running courses, better maps for everyone playing them." — Sami Hammarberg, Partner at Upsi
